Information and Discussion

A. Summer Library at GGS- July 23, 2025 she plans on a second attempt at a craft, read aloud,snack and time to check out books. Hopefully this will have better attendance then the June date.

B. Budget Hearing will be September 18, 2025 prior to the regular meeting. I will present a tentative budget at the August board meeting.

C. Mulch to be delivered on 7/28. We are in need of a tractor with a bucket

D. Baseball field fence - Quote included. Matt talked to All Fence. We were just going to replace poles but the fence people are worried that the old chain link (1987) will break as they try to stretch it so they recommend putting up a new chain link for that section.

E. John from Gassensmith & Associates came July 9 to conduct our annual audit. Based on the day, everything seems to be in line. We should have a presentation regarding the final audit review in September or October.

F. I will be out of town the last week of July.

G. Reminder that the active shooter training conducted by Grundy County Sheriff’s Department will take place July 29 and 31st. The village is aware and I sent an email and text to staff and an announcement will be going out to the families of GGS on 7/23.

H. I set up to host a mobile vaccine clinic through IDPH for all of our area schools on 8/5 from 10am-2pm. I am still working on a visit from a mobile dentist.

I. Open house is set for August 12th 6-7pm. Teacher Institute is August 12 & 13. Our staff will get together with BES, SWGS, GSW on 8/12 for a joint presentation to get the year started. GSW will host. Governance Board Meeting 8/19/25 4:30pm, Community Foundation Mtgs
