Iverson, Muffler among winners in Grundy County Board races

The results of the Grundy County Board races have been released.

Democrat Ken Iverson, Republican Drew Muffler and Republican Mildred Dyer have been declared winners in the County Board District 1 race. Other candidates in the running were Republican Don A. Neushwander and Democrat John A. Gregg.

With 100 percent of the precincts reporting, Iverson had 23.05 percent of the vote with a total of 3,749 votes. Muffler had 22.66 percent of the vote with a total of 3,685 votes. Dyer had 22.58 percent of the vote with a total of 3,672 votes. Neushwander received 19.64 percent of the vote with a total of 3,194 votes while Gregg received 12.06 percent of the vote with a total of 1,962 votes.

Republicans Debra Warning, Chris Balkema and Greg Ridenour have been declared winners in the County Board District 2 race. Other candidates in the running were Democrats John Serena and David H. Carino.

With 100 percent of the precincts reporting, Warning had 24.08 percent of the vote with a total of 3,359 votes. Balkema had 23.25 percent of the vote with a total of 3,243 votes. Ridenour had 18.38 percent of the vote with a total of 2,563 votes. Serena received 17.73 percent of the vote with a total of 2,473 votes while Carino received 16.56 percent of the vote with a total of 2,309 votes.

Republican Douglas M. Boresi, Democrat James Olson and Democrat Mike Onorato have been declared winners in the County Board District 3 race.

With 100 percent of the precincts reporting, Boresi had 27.53 percent of the vote with a total of 3,648 votes. Olson had 24.4 percent of the vote with a 3,234 votes. Onorato had 24.32 percent of the vote with a total of 3,223 votes. Republican Caleb Counterman, who was also in the running, received 23.75 percent of the vote with a total of 3,148 votes.
