Village of Coal City Village Board met Oct. 23.

Here is the minutes provided by the board:

At 7 p.m. on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 Mayor Terry Halliday called to order the Public Hearing of the Coal City Village Board in the boardroom of the Village Hall. Roll call-Trustees Dave Togliatti, Dave Spesia, Tim Bradley and Sarah Beach. Absent; Ross Bradley and Dan Greggain. Also in attendance were Matt Fritz, village administrator,

Ryan Hansen from Chamlin Engineering and attorney Mark Heinle.

Mr. Fritz explained that this Public Hearing was called in order to establish Special Service Area #3 (SSA), which is for the Hoffman Transportation Development. This dormant SSA #2 covers a total of six parcels, complies with the Will County Stormwater Management, will be perpetual in term remaining with the property and not the owner with a maximum of $100,000 per year levy if needed. The Special Service Area #3 (SSA) is to ensure the long-term maintenance drainage system within the private property. The Village engineers will determine if repairs to the infrastructure are needed.

This is step two as required with finalization occurring in sixty days. (Trustee Ross Bradley arrived at 7:05 p.m.)

Spesia moved to adjourn the Public Hearing, second by Beach. Roll call-Ayes; Togliatti, Bradley, Spesia, Bradley and Beach. Nays; none. Absent; Greggain. The meeting was adjourned at 7:06 p.m.
