MEETING MINUTES
Minutes from the meeting held on the following date were reviewed.
04/06/22
Motion: A motion to approve the above minutes was made by Tracey Steffes. Motion seconded by Monty Serena. On voice vote, said motion prevailed.
Chris Kindelspire updated the members on the CAD project. It is going well, and they are currently doing functional testing. They are also working on response plans and moving along with Locution.
There was some discussion regarding the auto attendant on the phone lines. Some of the agencies thought that the order in which the options were presented in the menu needs to be adjusted. They feel like the person calling is asked to wait through too many choices before they get to the more pertinent options. Chris will be working with the agencies to make corrections.
Director Ramer informed the members that Kathy Cabada was awarded a scholarship to attend the 2022 NENA conference in Louisville, Kentucky next month.
She undated the members on the status of the three trainees. Chris Chapoy will be on his own shortly and Mackenzie and Makayla are moving into their shadow phase. She hopes to have all three out of training by the end of the month.
Director Ramer is still using the job postings and conducting interviews hoping to have another group of trainees to start in June. Ashley Doglio is attending a job fair for the center at Joliet Junior College to find new applicants.
Wellness checks have begun at the center with positive feedback. Director Ramer also said that the website is being built and hopes to have it up and running soon.
Director Ramer informed the members of the need for a new position at the 911 center. She would like to hire a Deputy Director/Training Coordinator. The position would be filled from within and start around the middle of July. There are about five potential applicants that she feels would be interested. Director Ramer will have a more detailed presentation at the next advisory committee meeting.
Dave Ostrander and Chris Kindelspire gave the members an update on GIS addressing. They have been working on the mapping using as many sources as possible and have approximately 500 issues that require further investigation. The investigation would involve someone physically going to confirm some address issues. He is asking for help from the agencies that are willing to participate. Several of the agencies said that they are willing to help where they can. Chris will work on getting the information out and Dave is willing to walk through and explain the process in more detail for the agencies willing to help.
Director Ramer informed the members that the finance committee met earlier that day to address an error she found in the data that is used to compute agency contributions. Some of the data was from 2018/2019 instead of 2019/2020 for the 2021 contributions. She shared a spreadsheet that showed the incorrect 2021 billing as well as what it should be and the effect of the error on 2022 billing.
Matt Fritz explained what was discussed at the finance committee meeting and that the consensus was to fix the error on the 2021 contributions now and send out corrected invoices for 2022. The finance committee also wanted to know if the adjustment would adversely
affect any agency. Director Ramer let everyone know that if they wanted her to meet with them individually and go over the data, she would be happy to do so.
Manty Serena suggested that any fire departments that received ARP funding might consider attending the upcoming County Board Meeting to express their gratitude.
Motion: A motion to adjourn at 2:39 was made by George Lamboley. Motion seconded by Jeremy Attaway. On voice vote, said motion prevailed.
