Dr. Jibran Rana, a board-certified interventional cardiologist, has joined the team at Morris Hospital Cardiovascular Specialists. Dr. Rana will be seeing patients for a variety of heart and vascular conditions such as heart disease, hypertension, arrhythmias, heart failure, peripheral artery disease, valvular disease, cardiomyopathy, and congenital heart disease.
Patients can make appointments with Dr. Rana at Morris Hospital’s locations in Dwight (101 S. Prairie Avenue), Morris (1345 Edwards Street), and Ottawa (1703 Polaris Circle).
Dr. Rana brings experience as a fellowship-trained interventional cardiologist. He performs advanced cardiac procedures in the catheterization laboratory at Morris Hospital, including angiography, percutaneous coronary interventions, and endovascular therapies.
His medical education includes a degree from Ross University School of Medicine in Dominica and an internal medicine residency at University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine in Las Vegas. He completed his cardiology fellowship at University of Nevada, Las Vegas and later trained further in interventional and structural cardiology at Deborah Heart and Lung Center in New Jersey. His training focused on advanced coronary and peripheral interventions as well as structural heart therapies.
Dr. Rana is board certified in both internal medicine and cardiovascular disease and is recognized as a fellow of the American College of Cardiology.
