Village of Minooka Village Board Met June 15.

Here is the minutes provided by the board:

Village President, Ric Offerman, called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. Trustees present: Terry Houchens, Dick Parrish, Robin White and Gabriela Martinez. Also present: Dan Duffy-Village Administrator, Sean Kelly-Village Engineer, Police Chief-Justin Meyer, Village Treasurer-John Harrington, and Public Works Superintendent-Ryan Anderson.

Changes to Agenda – Village Administrator mentioned that Item 9c is an Ordinance, Item 9d dollar amount is $18,840.60 and 11i no action is needed as it is combined in Item 11h.

Review of the Minutes from the Village Board Meeting of May 25, 2021

Trustee Houchens moved, Trustee Parrish seconded the motion to approve the Village Board Minutes from May 25, 2021.

Ayes: Houchens, Martinez, Parrish, White

Nays: None

Absent: Martin, Thompson

Motion carried.

Bills and Transfers

Trustee White moved, Trustee Martinez seconded the motion to approve the Bills and Transfers. Ayes: Houchens, Martinez, Parrish, White

Nays: None

Absent: Martin, Thompson

Motion carried.

Treasurer’s Report

Trustee White moved, Trustee Parrish seconded the motion to approve the Treasurer’s Report. Ayes: Houchens, Martinez, Parrish, White

Nays: None

Absent: Martin, Thompson

Motion carried.

Public Forum

President Offerman opened the Public Forum at 6:33 p.m. Chief Meyer presented the Sergeant Promotion to Officer Ryan Macdonald. He recognized him for his 18 years of law enforcement along with many awards and being Officer of the Year twice. Chief Meyer thanked him for his dedication. Following Chief Meyer’s presentation was the pinning ceremony from his wife and children. Village Clerk read him his oath as Police Sergeant.

President Offerman read a Proclamation for the month of June recognizing Pride Month. No one else spoke. President Offerman closed the public forum at 6:42 p.m.

Consent Agenda

Village Administrator Dan Duffy read the following:

o Resolution 2021R-3201 Approving Pay Request #10 (partial) for dewatering equipment at WWTP

o Resolution 2021R-3202 Approving Pay Request #2-Aux Sable Twp-Tabler Road Project-$20,440

Trustee Houchens moved, Trustee White seconded the motion approving items on the Consent Agenda.

Nays: None

Absent: Martin, Thompson

Motion carried.

New Business

Resolution Approving Pay Request #10 (partial) for dewatering equipment at WWTP Trustee Parrish moved; subject to the Resolution of 11(b) being signed, Trustee White seconded the motion approving Resolution 2021R-3203 Approving Pay Request #10(partial) for dewatering equipment subject to 11b of the agenda being signed.

Nays: None

Resolution Authorizing Extension of Final Completion Date for the Wastewater Treatment Plant Dewatering improvements to September 21, 2021

Trustee Houchens moved; Trustee Martinez seconded the motion approving Resolution 2021R 3204 authorizing extension of final completion date for the WWTP dewatering improvements to September 21, 2021.

Ayes: Houchens, Martinez, Parrish, White

Nays: None

Absent: Martin, Thompson

Motion carried.

Resolution Renewing Village Business Insurance

Trustee Martinez moved; Trustee White seconded the motion approving Resolution 2021R-3205 renewing Village Business Insurance

Ayes: Houchens, Martinez, Parrish, White

Absent: Martin, Thompson

Motion carried.

Resolution Appointing Gary Fiedler to Police Commission

Trustee Parrish moved; Trustee Houchens seconded the motion approving Resolution 2021R-3206 appointing Gary Fielder to Police Commission

Nays: None

Absent: Martin, Thompson
